Maike studied at the University of Applied Science of Hamburg (B.Sc. Environmental Engineering with focus on Environmental Impact Assessments) and at the University of Hamburg (M.Sc. Marine Ecosystem- and Fisheries Sciences).

She is a sustainability professional experienced in advising companies and organizations in the agricultural and food industry on sustainability and climate strategies. Her work focuses on the development and implementation of projects along the value chain to achieve the goals set out in the strategy. In doing so, it combines climate-relevant issues such as emission reduction with other key challenges such as securing raw materials through sustainable agricultural practices.

These activities require knowing current industry developments and having a good understanding of the perspective of companies, operations and other stakeholders.

Maike previously worked at Soil & More Impacts and has been supporting sustainable since 2022.
