After one year’s work on Irish organic farms, Inka studied organic agriculture in Witzenhausen in 1999. At the University of Perugia (IT) she gained insights into food processing technologies and into organic inspection and certification at AIAB Umbria. After her diploma in 2004 she assisted IFOAM International in their advocacy and lobbying work in Bonn.
From 2005 onwards she supported importers, wholesalers, processors and farmers’ cooperatives from all over Europe in the sourcing, raw material quality assurance and marketing of organic products as commercial agent for artebio in Lüneburg. From 2010 onwards she led educational, marketing and networking events for organic stakeholders in Central and Eastern Europe at EkoConnect e.V. in Dresden.
Since 2014 she has been a consultant at Soil & More, developing sustainable production strategies for agricultural businesses, enabling them to maintain and develop their soil fertility in a commercially sensible way, while adapting to the effects of climate change. Inka has her boots in the soils of different agricultural contexts worldwide, and likes to team up with local farmers and their consultants to solve their challenges.
Inka joined sustainable along with Soil & More Impacts in 2022.
