Studies in business administration and doctorate in economics at the University of Bayreuth. Completed training as a banker at Commerzbank AG, Dusseldorf. Further education at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership on Business Sustainability Management and at MIT on Circular Economy.
More than 20 years of professional and consulting experience in the areas of sustainability, procurement, strategy and transformation. Detlef is co-author of “Responsible Procurement – Leading the Way to a Sustainable Tomorrow” (Springer, 2022).
His work focuses on the development and implementation of holistic sustainability strategies and the anchoring of sustainability in procurement and value chains.
Detlef has been with sustainable since 2023.
